About us

Moringa is all we do

Gratierne is a Danish-run natural-products company. This part of the group does one thing: moringa — sales, support and distribution, primarily to the Danish market.

Where it comes from

Our material is grown in Madura, Indonesia, with a second block on a volcanic slope in East Java. Not bought at auction, not blended from unnamed origins. We can tell you which block and which harvest window any pouch came from.

A complete vertical value chain

We sell directly from the ground to the customer. We grow the trees, cut the leaf, run the dryers, mill the powder, commission the lab work, handle the import and sell to you. There is no collector, no exporter, no importer, no wholesaler between our field and your kitchen.

That is why we are cheap

Not because we cut corners on the leaf, but because we removed four margins from the chain — and because we would rather share that with our customers than keep it. It is a deliberate choice about how we want this to grow.

Support, not just sales

We answer questions about dosage, storage, sourcing and paperwork. If you are a trade customer we will send you the specification, the certificate of analysis and the origin documentation before you order, not after.

We test for things others do not have to

Our second production block sits on an active volcanic slope. That is genuinely good for soil structure and mineral replenishment — and it also means ashfall can deposit fluoride onto exactly the part of the plant we harvest, and Indonesian volcanic soils can carry elevated geogenic arsenic. Most moringa suppliers never have to think about either.

We do. So we run leaf fluoride and arsenic panels alongside the usual lead, cadmium, microbiology and moisture testing, we have a written hold-and-test rule after any ashfall event, and we keep the two blocks as separate traceable streams rather than blending them. We would rather have the harder problem and the measurements than the easier story.

How we work

Say the number

Where we have a measurement we publish it. Where we do not, we say so rather than reaching for an adjective.

Refuse the folklore

No vitamin-multiple comparisons, no miracle-tree language, no disease claims. The category is full of it and it is why serious buyers are sceptical.

One company to ask

Vertical integration means there is nobody for us to blame. That is the point.
